PICTURE RE-TAKE DAY is happening TODAY during Smart
Lunch in the Auditorium.
VOLLEYBALL Neon Night/Senior Night Tonight! Wear
neon to be eligible to win a pizza gift card,
serving contest for t-shirts between varsity games,
and poster signing after the game.
Seniors! Don’t forget! This week is College
Application Week! All seniors are encouraged to
join the counselors in Computer Lab 220 during
SMART Lunch to learn more about the college
application process and work on college
applications. If you don’t already know of where
you’d like to apply, start thinking! If you’ve
already applied to college – this will be a great
opportunity to learn more about the next steps in
the process. Be sure to see your counselor if you
have more questions.
Students, are you interested in impacting how
schools function in Iowa? Are you thinking about
becoming an educator? Then you should consider
attending the Iowa Student Learning Institute on
November 8th at Waukee High School. Kennedy will
take up to 6 students who are interested in
attending this conference. Students will engage in
problem solving with regards to public education in
Iowa. A great opportunity to grow and be heard!
You can learn more at http://www.iowasli.org/ and
you can sign up in the main office or with Ms.
Lindo in 127.
ALL STUDENTS that currently have a PE waiver for
first term MUST turn in a signed waiver form to the
Counseling Office ASAP. If the form is not turned
in by the first day of finals, students will
receive a U on their transcript for PE this term.
There will be no retroactive grades given if the
form is turned in late. This applies to the
following waivers: Academic, Academy/PSEO,
Cheerleading, Dance Team, Football, Men’s Cross
Country, Men’s Golf, Volleyball, Women’s Cross
Country, and Women’s Swimming. Lists are posted on
the windows near the Counseling Office, Activities
Office and Attendance Office. If your name is on
the list, you need to pick up a form from the
Counseling Office and return it ASAP. If you have
any questions about this, please see your Counselor.

Diversity Focus is sponsoring the annual college
tour of historical black colleges and universities
during Spring Break (March 22-29, 2015). The tour
seeks to increase the awareness and benefits of
attending H.B.C.U's for eastern Iowa area high
school students. Today, more than ever, education
equals opportunity, and college learning is seen as
the key to individual prosperity and economic
security. An informational meeting will be held at
